Who is KUBIN?
The non-profit association KUBIN e.V. was founded on August 13, 2019. KUBIN stands for Kultur Berlin International.
The founding members of the association are Jani Pietsch, Marie Rolshoven, Sunniva Greve, Dunja Wierowski, Oliver Dupont, Leo Rolshoven, and Viktor Rolshoven.
The purpose of the association is to promote civic engagement in support of the following objectives: the promotion of a democratic state, democratic education and democratic culture; the promotion of international understanding; the promotion of tolerance in all areas of culture and international understanding; as well as the promotion of culture and the arts.
The goals of the association are pursued in memory of those who were persecuted during the Nazi era, through the organization and implementation of local, national, and international projects within the framework of democratic remembrance culture and collective memory.
This is achieved through exchange and networking of civic engagement by citizens with initiatives in other cities, countries, and continents, with the aim of promoting peace, international understanding, and integration.
The network KUBIN was founded in 2014 by the artist and historian Jani Pietsch, the cultural scientist Marie Rolshoven, and the natural scientist Florian Voß.
